Steps in creating a race event

  1. Create an account

    Contact support@racerscan.com to create an account

  2. Download the app

    Kart Racing Scanner IOS AppKart Racing Scanner Android App

  3. Login

    Using your email and password

  4. Create A Race

    Add a race using a descriptive title like “July 1-3“ or “Rotax Shootout”

  5. Create A Race Class

    Tap on the race name and then add race classes for that race.

  6. Pre-Scan

    Before the race starts tap on each race class and add the individual racers. Scan each barcode on the kart which can include the tires, engine, chassis or other. Before you press the scan button select the location you are scanning from the dropdown. Repeat the scan for every barcode you want to track. When your scanning is complete tap on the checkmark at the top right to save the racer. You will now be taken to the previous screen showing all the racers for that class.

  7. Post-Scan
    Once the kart barcodes have been scanned and saved into the system you can rescan any kart to check for new tires, engine, chassis or other items.  First select the kart from the race class and start scanning the barcodes.  Either an alert will popup confirming the barcode was previously scanned or a red warning will appear indicating a new barcode was detected and will be added to the list of scanned barcodes.  This red warning signals that the racer is using equipment that was not scanned before the start of the race.  You now have the option to save this new barcode by tapping the checkmark at the top right or cancel this scan by tapping the “X” in the top left corner.
